Cavell's Blessing Weekend
Cavell has had a big weekend. Sunday was his baby blessing at church. To mark the event, grandparents from the far reaches of the country were in attendance. Both sets of grandparents were able to fly in from California for the blessing and Great Grandparents, an Uncle, and a dog were able to come as well. As expected, all grandma's in attendance were thoroughly smitten with Cavell's wit and smashing good looks.
During the weekend Cavell was held and snuggled within an inch of his life by adoring fans everywhere.
The highlight of the weekend was the blessing itself at church. Cavell wore a very cute outfit that his mother picked out for his special day. Stacy knit an adorable sweater vest to dress things up and he was blessed using the same blanket that Stacy knit for his big sister Alayna.
Cavell executed his duties during the blessing well. He added a hint of drama at the beginning by letting go with a small yelp right as the microphone was turned on, but was able to contain himself and pay attention to the rest of the ordinance.
After church we were joined by friends and family at Gemini Springs park. Everybody had a great time. We had grilled chicken, salads, and drinks. Cavell was the center of attention and even more friends were given the opportunity to wish him well with nuzzles, hugs, and kisses.
